Description
This day hike will be from the northern tip of Letchworth State Park to the southern tip along the FLT. The total length of the hike is 22 miles. There are several small ups and downs along the trail where streams cut through the trail. Overall there is a gradual 400 foot incline as we head south. We will be travelling light and fast. This trip should only be attempted by strong hikers. The estimates below assume an average hiking speed of 2.8 miles per hour (a moderately fast walk) allowing for some small breaks and a 45 minute lunch.
